Women's Tennis Rained Out
April 15, 2007 SPOKANE, Wash - - The Gonzaga University women's tennis match against UC Santa Barbara that was scheduled for Sunday has been canceled on the account of rain in Spokane. The match between the Bulldogs (4-15 overall) and the Gauchos (10-8 ) began at the scheduled 10 a.m. start time but rain started to fall during singles play, which forced the termination of the match. Sunday's match was the third scheduled home match of the weekend for Gonzaga. Friday, the Zags fell to Eastern Washington University 4-3, while Saturday's scheduled match against Lewis-Clark State College was called on the account of rain. The Zags will return to action Friday when they travel to Malibu, Calif. for the West Coast Conference tournament. Pairings and match times for the event will be announced later this week by the conference office.
