Men's Tennis Falls To Eastern Washington

Spokane, Wash. - The Gonzaga University men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to regional rival Eastern Washington University Wednesday night at the Spokane Racquet Club. Logan Napolsky and Roman Dojcak logged the lone GU (6-13) victory of the day as the duo combined for a 9-8 doubles victory over Eastern Washington's (13-7) Jonathan Davis and Pactick Millican at No. 2. The Eagles earned the singles point as Pannhara Mam and Kyle Schraeder took an 8-5 victory at No. 1 over Zack Radetzky and Stefan Feddersen, while Art Karas and Nico Riego de Dios defeated the Zags' Cooper Fratt and Conor Feeney 8-4 at No. 3. Eastern Washington's momentum continued into singles play, where the Bulldogs were unable to earn a victory. Fratt fought hard at the No. 5 spot but fell just short of Karas 6-3, 3-6, 12-10. Radetzky also took his contest to three-sets as he fell to Kenneth Norling 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 at No. 4. At the top spot, Fedddersen dropped a 7-6, 7-4 decision to Mam, while Dojcak fell to Schraeder 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2. Feeney dropped a 6-4, 6-3 decision to Riego de Dios at No. 3, while Charles Adams wrapped up singles play with a 6-3, 6-4 loss to Millican. Thursday, Gonzaga will travel to Moscow, Idaho to face the University of Idaho at 3 p.m. The Bulldogs will home Sunday when they host Lewis-Clark State College at the SRC. The match will be the final home match for two Bulldog seniors - Fratt and Adams. Eastern Washington 7, Gonzaga 0
