Feddersen Leads Zags Over Vikings 6-1

Spokane, Wash. - Stefan Feddersen earned his 10th singles victory of the season Friday as the Gonzaga University men's tennis team posted a 6-1 victory over host Portland State University in Portland, Ore. Feddersen earned his sixth consecutive singles match with a 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 victory over Kyle Erickson while playing No. 1. At No. 2, Roman Dojcak earned a straight-set 6-4, 7-6 win over Sean Eberle. Cooper Fratt continued the Bulldogs' (5-11) winning ways for the afternoon with a 7-5, 6-2 win against Adam Blackner. At No. 5, Charles Adams came back to earn a three-set victory 2-6, 6-4, 10-3 over Jeff Cero, while Logan Napolsky wrappyed on singles play with a 3-6, 6-1, 10-8 decision at No. 6. Conor Feeney dropped the lone match of the day for the Bulldogs as the freshman fell 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 to Alex VanDershelden. In doubles play, Gonzaga proved to be too much from Portland State (4-10) as the Bulldogs took all three contests. At No. 1, Feddersen and Dojcak downed Hart and Erickson 8-5. Napolsky and Adams posted an 8-6 victory over Eberle and Blackner at No. 2, while Feeney and Fratt defeated Cero and VanDerschelden 8-6 at No. 3.
