Loe, Crick Tied For 15th At WCC Golf Championship

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. - Gonzaga University's Trevor Loe and Brandon Crick are in a four-way tie for 15th after 36 holes of the West Coast Conference Men's Golf Championship Monday at Chambers Bay Golf Course. Loe shot 77-72 and Crick 74-75 for a 149 over the 7,164-yard, par-72 course that will host the 2015 men's U.S. Open. Crick was the WCC Freshman of the Year last season. The Bulldogs shot a 612 as a team after rounds of 310-302. The University of San Diego leads heading into Tuesday's final 18 holes with a 580 that included a first-round 2-under par 286. Darrin Hall of the Toreros shares the 36-hole lead at 142 after a course-record 66 and a 78. Jason D'Amore of Loyola Marymount University had rounds of 74-68 to tie for the lead. Chambers Bay has only been open since last June, the previous course record a 67. Monday's play saw rain fall during most of the morning, followed by blue skies and strong winds during the afternoon and into the evening.
