SAN BRUNO, Calif. - An eighth straight West Coast Conference regular-season title wrapped up and with it the No. 1 seed, Gonzaga University turns its attention to the 22nd annual West Coast Conference Tournament to be held at the Jenny Craig Pavilion on the University of San Diego campus.

For the sixth straight year since the tournament adopted its current format, Gonzaga has the luxury of being seeded into Sunday's semifinals along with Saint Mary's College. The Bulldogs are seeking their fifth straight WCC Tournament crown and their 10th in the last 11 seasons.

Gonzaga will face either No. 4 seed Santa Clara University, No. 5 University of San Francisco or No. 8 Loyola Marymount University in the 6:30 p.m. semifinal Sunday.

The tourney opens Friday with USF facing LMU at 6 p.m. and No. 6 Pepperdine University taking on No. 7 University of Portland at 8 p.m. The USF/LMU winner faces No. 4 SCU Saturday at 6 p.m., followed by No. 3 USD taking on the Pepperdine-Portland winner at 8 p.m. No. 2 Saint Mary's faces the Pepperdine-Portland-USD survivor at 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the late semifinal. Both semifinals will be televised on ESPN2, with Monday's 6 p.m. title game on ESPN.

The WCC Tournament is returning to San Diego for the fourth time, USD hosting from 2001-03. The winner receives an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
